Today is the first day of the Dream Destination Bloghop hosted by Lexa Cain and Julie Flanders. And as part of that bloghop, I get to tell you my dream destination.
Britain. Anywhere in the country, really, but I'd love to visit Cumbria. I'd prefer a location near one (or more) of these:

Castles are the coolest things. Can't get enough of them. I’ve been to several in Britain and would love to see more. Perhaps one day.
Anyway, be sure to visit either Lexa Cain or Julie Flanders between December 5th-8th and enter the rafflecopter. Lots of prizes!
I'll be stopping off in Britain on my way to Scotland. :)
ReplyDeleteSigh.... I can't wait for a chance to return to Scotland myself. Are you just heading there for a visit?
DeleteThat is a cool looking castle. Are there alligators in the moat? ;)
ReplyDeleteDon't know about the alligators. I might hope for something a bit more exotic.
DeleteI'm with you, I'd love to tour all over the UK and see the castles and all the historical buildings. I went to London some years ago and loved it but have always wished I could have spent more time exploring the rest of the country. Someday!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for taking part in our Hop, Ken!
I've been to London a couple of times, but now I want to get out to the rest of the country.
DeleteCastles are great so full of history and there are some awesome examples here in the UK. Hope you manage to visit.
ReplyDeleteI will visit again. I've promised myself that for sure. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteYou'll have to schedule a return trip! I lived there a while and still didn't see all I wanted to see.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky. I'd love to spend a year there. Assuming I could afford being away from work, that is.
DeleteHm... Now I'm wondering... should I grow to Britain before or after I go to Alaska? Decisions, decisions...
ReplyDeleteBritain first. No doubt about it.
DeleteWith that picture in your blog's header, I can't say that I'm surprised your dream destination would have something to do with castles. Lots of people are selecting various parts of the UK, and lots are mentioning castles. I suppose great minds really do think alike. Great pick!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you! Count me in as your newest groupie.
Castles, castles, CASTLES!! They're fantastic, aren't they? Who wouldn't want to visit a country with such medieval grandeur and history? I loved you pics (and your header), and thanks for joining the hop! :-)
ReplyDeleteNo question about it. In fact, I love castles so much, I knew my next couple of stories would have to have castles in them. Thanks for setting up this bloghop.
DeleteI do love Britain (being a Brit) for it's beauty and history. I even miss the unpredictable seasons and rain (in Dubai it's sun and sand ALL THE TIME!). I've never been to Cumbria but went to Uni with a Cumbrian... I always said I'd go. You reminded me! :)

I'm kind of a rain-loving guy myself, so I think I'd fit right in. On the other hand, I'd burn to a crisp in Dubai.
DeleteI've been to England once and headed straight for - yup - the nearest castle.
ReplyDeleteCastles seem to be a big hit on this blog hop, those and Scotland.Either would be fine by me. This whole thing is making me want to pop online and book a trip. ;)
ReplyDeleteCumbria is wonderful, with the lakes and remnants of the Roman Wall. Go, if you get a chance, but not in the summer. It rains tourists. Off season, it's magical.
ReplyDeleteCastles rock. Cumbria isn't a place I know but you make it seem awesome. Castles!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to ANY castle, at this point. I'll get pickier once I've been able to actually go to some. ;)

Never been to Cumbria before, but I spent some days in London, Southhampton and the Isle Of Wight. All wonderful places, all highly recommended.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
Love the castles, but the moats--they really make a statement--discouraging solicitors and nosy neighbors alike!
