Seven Writing Links -- Volume 133

A busy day at work today, so this week's links are just a tad late. At least it's still Friday.

I'm going to try something new this weekend. Tomorrow morning, I'll be getting up early and meeting some of my writer friends at the local Panera's where we plan to write for a couple of hours. I've never tried group writing before, so it'll be interesting to see if I get anything accomplished. Will being surrounded by others writers inspire me, or will I look around in horror and wonder how in the world can they possibly be writing so quickly?

Either way, enjoy the links and the weekend!

  1. I don't think I could write at a Panera. Ours is so busy, plus I'd just want to eat.

  2. My writing group (now defunct) used to do this, meet at Panera or some other cafe or restaurant. Others could write in public like that, but I could not.

  3. When I'm deep into writing, the whole world disappears on me. Turns out I was able to write in Panera's with no problem.

    1. I was going to ask how the writing went. :) I'm guessing you don't have a lot of chatters in your group? We have local write-ins, but sometimes, you get some people who won't stop talking and it frustrates the heck out of some of us.

  4. I don't think I could do that: write in public. I feel like I'd get stage fright. Glad it worked for you.

  7. Hope you had fun writing. I've tried that but not much work got done on our first attempt because it was a sunny evening in a beer garden. Hmmm. We changed tactics, found a more motivational working location and achieved a great deal :)
