Maybe that's just because some (or most) of the advice I get is already out of date.James Paillyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06213113363979079375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9207356626683365538.post-84904164250802681902016-07-28T11:18:03.738-04:002016-07-28T11:18:03.738-04:00I'm sad to hear about blog hops--that's th...I'm sad to hear about blog hops--that's the core of my debut novel marketing effort. Well, I'm doing a Kindle Scout campaign also which is just about over. I do agree--I don't really know what to do. I run online classes--last year they were wildly successful. This year, they limped along. Marketing was exactly the same. Here's where I snort a laugh because my snail turbo charge couldn't even pull that...not in a million years. So it's off to game plan #2...whatever that might be :)Tonja Dreckerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07683717853264134466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9207356626683365538.post-83695839307986193332016-07-28T04:00:19.649-04:002016-07-28T04:00:19.649-04:00Great post, Ken. It's a bit like the lottery - we can strategically choose the numbers but when those balls come out... nothing. If I come up with a formula, I'll write a book about it and share it with the world - now, how do I go about marketing that? LOL!! Have a great week and thank you for the links on your last post. Publication is very competitive, but worth it. I'm with you, building up a body of work will work for us in the long run. I'm a slow writer too, but don't give up. (My The Fall and Rise of Peter Stoller is a case in point.) It's frustrating, for sure, and I'm one of the slow writers, too, that can't just keep putting out content. It takes me about a year on average to write a book, and Peter took three!
